Angel Food
Angel Food Ministries provides a quality, low cost grocery supplement. Angel Food Ministries sells their groceries for $30 per basic menu. This is a savings of at least half of what you would pay if you purchased these same items at your local grocery store. Each month, a new menu is offered, consisting of both fresh and frozen items, including fresh meats, vegetables, and eggs. Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. One box of food will assist in feeding a family of 4 for approximately one week, or a single adult or senior citizen for a month. The food is not outdated or damaged. These are quality products provided by the same distributors that supply our local grocery chains. There are no limits to the number of boxes an individual can purchase. There are no applications or qualification, so everyone can participate in the program. Individuals may also purchase boxes of food to donate to someone in need.

  • There is a specific monthly cut-off date for placing orders. No orders will be accepted after the cut-off date.
  • On-line orders can be placed using a credit or debit card by going to the Angel Food Website  http://www.angelfoodministries.com/ 
  • Payment is due at the time you place your order. Payment can be made at the church office (Cash, Money Orders or Checks) Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also mail your payment into the church, and a receipt will be sent to you.
  • Payment methods: Cash (EXACT CHANGE ONLY), Money Orders or Checks made payable to Wylie United Methodist Church. Food Stamps (EBT) are also accepted.  On-line orders require a credit or debit card.
  • There is no limit to the number of basic menus that an individual may purchase.
  • There is no limit to the number of specials that an individual may purchase.
  • You must pick up your total order on distribution day at Wylie United Methodist Church located at 1401 FM 1378 in Wylie between the hours of 9:30 am and 11:00 am.
  • A paid receipt or valid ID is required for food pick-up.
  • All sales are final and there are no refunds. Any unclaimed food will be donated to a pre-designated ministry.
  • Angel Food Ministries reserves the right to substitute food items due to availability, quantity and cost.

This ministry gives church members "hands-on" experience through service to others by volunteering on distribution day. This is an effective outreach to the community, giving us the opportunity to meet the physical needs of people while at the same time helping them financially. When we meet the basic needs of our community it opens the door to meeting their spiritual needs.
