BIG Feed

The B.I.G. (But In God…) Feed began in June of 2007 with the goal of providing a nutritious meal twice a week to children  living at the South Fork modular home park at the corner of McCreary and McMillen, about a half mile west of the church.  Many of the children there qualify for free or reduced-cost lunch at school during the school year, and the church realized that these children could use some nutritious food during the summer.  For the twelfth consecutive year, Wylie UMC will help meet this need!

You may help with picking up supplies, preparation of sandwiches on Sundays and Wednesdays, or delivering the sandwiches on  Thursdays.  For prep and delivery you have to complete a Church background check and been certified through Mininstry Safe to deliver lunches. To help with the deliveries  you have to be at least 18

To sign up to help with preparing sandwiches or delivering lunches, click the volunteer button below.  If you would like to help with weekly shopping, please contact Kim Johnson directly.

You may also donate supplies:  apples, sandwich bread, creamy peanut butter, brown paper lunch bags, Chewy Granola Bars or CapriSun drinks.

You may also make a monetary donation to help offset the cost.
