Traditional Worship
During the 8:30 service
we worship our Lord with traditional hymns with piano and organ
accompaniment, responsive reading, and Holy Communion served on the first Sunday each month.
Contemporary Worship
The 9:45 service has
its music led in praise and worship with our praise team, Filthy
Rags. Come join this dynamic celebration each week with song,
sermon, prayer. Communion is served at this service on the
first Sunday of the month.
Blended Worship
The 11:05 service has a variety of congregational song instrument accompaniment and the adult Chancel Choir regularly sharing its music. There are also solos and ensembles of instruments and vocals. Communion is served Every Sunday at this service. All Children preschool – 2nd grade are invited to attend Children’s Church. Children will go to service with their parents and have Children’s Time and then we will break out into the preschool wing and continue with the lesson. Towards the end of service, the kids will come back into the worship center to have communion with their families
Flowers
Each Sunday beautiful flower arrangements are placed on the altar.
Anyone is welcome to sign-up to provide the flowers for worship
in honor or memory of someone, or in honor of some special event
in your families' life. If you are interested in providing flowers
or need more details please call the church office.
Acolytes
The acolytes, 3rd-5th graders, are the people who "bring
Christ's light into the Sanctuary." This is a symbolic reminder
to us of Christ's presence in our daily lives and at our Worship
Services.
Ushers
Ushers are the people who hand out the bulletins at the beginning
of the service. They also collect Joys and Concerns during the singing
of the first hymn, and pass the offering plate among the congregation.
During a communion celebration they direct the congregation through
the sanctuary. Ushers are needed at both the early and late services.
Generally ushers rotate monthly. If you are interested in being
an usher for either service contact the church office.
Communion
Wylie United Methodist Church accepts baptism in all Christian traditions
and welcomes all to the Lord's Table for the celebration of Holy
Communion.

Ministry Opportunity Luke 24:35
reminds us, “ Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus
had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how
they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread.” There are
a few people in our congregation who are unable to attend church
on Sunday. They want to come but illness or other issue prevents
them from being here. This is where
you can make a difference. We are looking for a few people who would
like to go out to those who would like to have Holy Communion brought
to them. These visits are a remarkable way to not only share with
them the most Holy meal, but a time to fellowship and connect with
someone from our church. This is a great opportunity for a family,
individual or even a small group. You will receive the name of the
person you will visit each month and a communion kit. Training will
be provided so you will know exactly what you need to do. All are
invited to be a part of this ministry. You will find a special relationship
will begin and you will look forward to these monthly visits. Even
if you do not feel worthy today, you will find an unexpected blessing
as you are a part of this ministry and again recognize Christ anew
in the breaking of the bread. If you would like more information
or if you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Pastor Donna Sutton at 972-442-5835.

us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably
with reverence and awe... Hebrews 12:28
